The first half was okay. I was hoping it’ll carry its pace till the end since SBS dramas tend to be better off with the drag compared to KBS dramas. The first few episodes built the suspense surrounding the birth identity plot of the main girl, Yoo Min (Jung Da Bin) and also the budding relationship between the two main characters. If the title isn’t “My Sister-in-Law” I would have assumed that either Min-Jae (Kim Jae Won) or Seung Jae (Yoon Kye Sang) has equal chances of ending up with Yoo Min. I also think Kim Jae Won is much better fitted to this mature role which is similar to his character in My Love Patzzi than his childish irritating one in Wonderful Life. It started off as a funny series and slowly lost its steam as a new episode is introduced. But it might leave you wanting for more because they end each episode hinting that the beans might be spilled on the next episode, concerning Yoo Min’s real identity. Don’t get your hopes up, coz if you’ve seen a few of these dramas with the same theme, you’ll know that the revelation almost always occurs during the last 2-3 episodes.
One of the things that is probably different from other typical love rectangle set-ups is that the male character develops his feelings first for the girl than the other way around. But then, they spent almost three-quarters of the drama showing Yoo Min obsessing about Doctor Kang. The number of funny moments between Yoo Min and Seung Jae which are the highlights of the drama diminished and totally swerved into a melodrama festival. With the humor lost, I turned my attention to Yoo-min’s identity. I was in complete control of my mouse and my skip button. They will bring in Doctor Kang’s ex girlfriend later into the scene. SKIP that whole arc. Listen to my sound advice. They will give Soo Ji an opportunity to flirt and gallivant with Seung Jae. Skip, skip, skip. Who wants to see the antagonist and the protagonist’s love interest blow bubbles in the air?
When you reach the confessions part, I hope you won’t get disappointed as I did. I wasted 12-13 hours to see this lame lame lame climax? I am angry, oh so angry. Argh.
My advice, watch it completely from episode 1-10. And then fast forward through episode 16
dis story doesn’t made any sense.its wasting my time dis drama coz i thing kim jae won deserve jung da bin’s more.
