Don’t worry, this won’t be a long-ass post like my Soulmate one. Under my Hello Miss/Witch Amusement entries, one reader said that, “Que Sera, Sera is still the best”. I’m sorry, my dear, but I beg to differ. I was expecting a lot from this drama because I’ve read some good reviews about it while googling. Either that poster is an Eric Mun fanatic or a relationship junkie, because for the life of me…I DON’T SEE IT AT A.L.L!

Strengths I was going to divide my posts into its strengths and weaknesses, but I got stuck after only one entry under strengths. The only thing that makes this show worthy of your lifetime is – and fyi, I’m not the kind of person who get moved easily with this kind of scenes – the elevator kiss scene in episode 3. That kiss gave me the stamina to endure the next 12 episodes.

There is actually another memorable MEMORABLE (I’ll make that bold) – excuse my language – but f*cked up episode. Man, oh man…I cursed and yelled at my screen as I watched that train wreck of a scene unfold before my eyes. My only beef about it is that our leading man is now a certified woman-beater and a potential-rapist.

Ouch!

But those things themselves made the whole episode a total shocker. You can basically feel the storm is coming. The rain at the end is an effective symbolism that finally, it has poured.

The Rain Scene

Well, that’s basically it folks. This is like a rectangle version of the love triangle we had in What Happened in Bali. An intensified relationship drama where the characters can’t bloody decide who they should hook-up with. The only likable character is Eun Soo’s younger sister. Tae Joo’s(Eric) morale is as repugnant as his haircut. I don’t even want him to end up with Eun-Soo anymore. Joon Hyuk’s(Lee Kyu Han) side story reminds me of the antagonist’s plot(Tae-Min) in Save the Last Dance but the latter is more effective and exciting to watch. Eun-Soo(Jung Yoo-mi) got hella annoying especially during the second half of the show. She’s clingy, selfish, and hard to watch on-screen. Cha Hye Lin…well, I don’t care much about her. I don’t hate her nor like her. What I find unbelievable is when she switched her interest onto Tae Joo. What the heck, man…I didn’t see that coming. One minute, she’s so into her oppa, and then after she got slapped by Tae Joo, you’ll find her begging her rich dad to get TJ on marrying her. Don’t tell me she’s a masochist? WTH!!!

Que Sera, Sera, indeed. Whatever will be, will be. Whatever crap the writers were thinking when they wrote this? Unless they got a What Happened in Bali finalé coming…then this drama is going straight to the bin.

Hana Kimi? It didn’t leave up to my expectations, but it’s still enjoyable. It’s not my favorite this season though. I’m trying to compile my first impressions on the summer dramas in one post. When I have enough, i’ll get it out. Thanks for dropping by!

I don’t know why but I did enjoy this drama. Maybe that was because this was the first drama I watched after a long long time. The kissing scenes were very (how should I say it) hotttt and very different from the usual tame kisses on k-dramas.
I’m currently “Hana Kimi” and “Dal Ja’s spring” and I’m gonna have to say that I’m kind of liking “Dal Ja’s spring” a little bit more than Hana Kimi.

    thanks for your reviews ….

well i was informed that the leading actress was supposed to be Yoon Eun-Hye(coffee prince) n she had to cancel the project due to health prob…personally i would say that this drama would be much2 better if she gets the part.both eric n yoon eun-hye were purposely rumoured to be fond of each other in game shows like Xman.n i think they do look cute together.i was not motivated to watch this drama because of the leading actress.hate the hair, both eric n what-her-name?.appearance n popularity do affect the quality of the drama n the number of audiences…just my personal response..
