Delightful Girl Chun Hyang was undeniably funny until it hit the one-third mark. Afterwards, it was just a love triangle in a volleyball match. I hated it then. I hated it even more after finding out that the great Uhm Tae Woong in Resurrection was the same hateful Mr. Byun. What a waste of talent.
My Girl is the same thing. But fortunately, when Yoo Rin launched her crying festival over her guilt-ridden love for Gong-Chan, it was tolerable. This is the second kdrama I lend out to friends who I want to get addicted. But as time passes by and I stumble upon better dramas (Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese but mostly Japanese), My Girl became a big blur of superficiality. It could be an 8 on the enjoyment scale but a 3 on the content side.
To prepare for the over-hyped incoming KBS drama (I started this post before it aired), Hong Gil Dong, I give the Hong sisters and Oh Ji Ho another shot. I finally watched Fantasy Couple.
