“She loved me at my worst, you had me at my best”

I seldom ever watch filipino movies, or John Lloyd Cruz’s movies for that matter. But I accidentally saw the trailer for his movie, “One More Chance” last year. It practically moved me to tears. Just the trailer, can you believe it? (but filipino movie trailers are sort of mini-movies. They show you the whole thing.)

“She loved me at my worst, you had me at my best”

and the part where the girl begged him to take her back…oh my, sniff sniff…This kind of cheese triggers the sentimental-hopeless-romantic-idiot in me.

Since then I started to check if the DVD is out every second week, and today, I finally got a hold of the torrent. (thank you to Wingtip for uploading!)

How to start a conversation with an Accountant

My lowliest day last year was my 2nd interview with the head partner in KPMG. But getting rejected by KPMG seems like my destiny. Now you’re thinking I’m just salvaging my pride here. You’re right, I am. However, there’s something freaky with my story. I was gonna call it God’s will but I don’t wanna get all heavy on you. So freaky it is, or in drama lingo – destiny.

Scootch over, Kimutaku. Shingo is Japan’s new sweetheart!

Or maybe not. Do not underestimate the power of Kimutaku!

But man oh man, Shingo is doing a great job stealing all the ladies’ affection in his new drama, Bara no nai Hanaya. Mine, included.

For all Bara no nai Hanaya’s fans, do not miss out on the translated promo video made by yanie and co. under the discussion thread at d-a. Lots of behind the scenes and you’ll fall in love with the cast even more; specially, Shingo. That’s why I’m writing this nonsense post in the first place (my indirect way of fangirling over my new favorite actor).

O Hanaya-san~

Forgive me, but I have to do my why-can’t-the-koreans-do-this-kind-of-drama rant again. When I find something good, I tend to criticize other things…and this time, the loveliest drama of the season, which the Koreans will never pull off. Why?

Simple… because they don’t have Takeuchi Yuko.

I am now officially Super Geek!

Thank you for the opportunity to discuss our Firm and your possible employment with us. The Partners of _________ LLP would like to offer you a position with our Firm as an Accountant, commencing on May 1, 2008.

As an Accountant.

Those three words induce an unexplainable pleasure down my spine. I’m even contemplating on turning this blog into the accounts of a junior auditor (pardon the pun).

I’ve been googling the entire internet universe for a junior auditor blog, and believe it or not, I don’t even have to use my other hand to count all of them. Now, now, don’t doubt my googling talents. When I finally found my subject, anonymous accountant, I read all of his entries but too bad he/she stopped writing a year ago. There is not enough blogs on Junior Accountants!

And sadly enough, I know exactly the reason behind that. Will I really have no life starting May 1, 2008?

Reading all the comments under the post “Holy Crap, This Really Sucks” does not even scare me. I love the idea of having to work till 1AM in the morning.

Damn, <knock on the wood>, I hope those words don’t come biting me after 3 months. I don’t really mind having no life as long as I love what I do. My greatest fears are (1) feeling clueless/stupid/helpless on the job and (2) having no task assigned for me.

Anyways, Asian Dramas + Manga + Anime + Accountant-slash-stereotypical-boring-auditor = Supah-otaku!

That’s gonna be me. Hurray.
