We are suffering from two consecutive disappointing jdrama seasons, and what else could I do but avert my attention back to kdramas. I have been doing some Han Ji Min marathon and just finished Capital Scandal a few minutes ago. Who would have thought Kang Ji Hwan to be such an actor…Oh my, what a character!
No wonder they won the best couple award for Capital Scandal. No wonder people were able to endure the first few episodes of Hong Gil Dong…no wonder I will be switching from Han Ji Min to a Kang Ji Hwan marathon now.
No wonder I have something to procrastinate on while trying to study for my Mod 2 exam.
Welcome back btw! I don’t know about disappointing j-doramas but did you get a chance to see Mr. Brain? It is quite a treat to see the hyped up guests like Gackt act!
Also I do love Capital Scandal and Hong Gil Dong, the same reason because Kang Ji Hwan can be so darn cute!

my sunbae sent me the DVD but i am yet to watch Capital Scandal (she’s a Kang Ji Hwan fan). I love the pair in “90 days” though. KJH in the early days… ^^
Jaycee: you actually like Han Ji Min? For some reason, I can’t stand her acting (too soft and not enough edge for me). Like most of her roles have been the same.
And yup, after watching Hong Gil Dong, I instantly became a BIG fan of Kang Ji Hwan. When there was a lack of dramas last year, I became crazy hounding for more Kang Ji Hwan. Figured that I’ve already seen some of his previous works before Hong Gil Dong and they are Fireworks and Save The Last Dance. But my oh my, can’t believe I ignored Capital Scandal when it first came out (probably because of Coffee Prince came out same time).
By the way did you watch his new film My Girlfriend is An Agent yet? It’s like the Korean version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, but Kang Ji Hwan is hilarious as can be.
Kang Ji Hwan is just everything an actor should be and what fans expect of an actor. He’s handsome, elegant, cheerful and candid at interviews. He sings and dances well too, and he’s definitely well dressed and well-groomed. He acts the temperaments of his character without a flaw; be it angry, sad, happy, proud, cautious, respectful, sick, mischievious, disrespectful, insolent, whatever. He has every expression in his face to act the part so well without even having to fake those emotions.
I first saw him in BE STRONG GEUM SOON and I have not stopped looking out for him. I have completed his 4 other dramas and A MOVIE IS A MOVIE in a matter of 3 weeks. I haven’t stopped yet. I am looking out at the DVD shops for MY GIRLFRIEND IS AN AGENT. Not only that … I surf the net everyday for news of him and hope that he gets to act in more Kdramas. That’s how good I think he is. I have seen other Kdramas but those actors just don’t appeal to me in terms of their looks, acting skills, emotional expressions, etc.
Kang Ji Hwan is my Korean idol. Yeah! Korean idol! Even if anyone disagrees with me, keep your opinions to yourself because your opinion is irrelevant to me and won’t make a difference in my opinion of Kang Ji Hwan
